Hi Stephane,
I have the exact same scenario. I have an air-lap1252ag-n-k9 and need to use it in standalone mode.
Could you please send me the file you received from CISCO so I can do the same?
Also, as you would notice I’m new to networking so I would need to know all the steps of the procedure.
All the help is most appreciated.

This problem is due to the wrong firmware inside the access point. The firmware you have is looking for a wireless server that you do not have. You need to load the firmware for standalone access point and this will solve the problem.You can find this firmware on the support area of cisco.com if you have access to it. If not, ask your reseller.BRStéphane
