I wonder if some of the experts here can give me an insight about the kinda questions they ask in the job interview. (ie. how specific they get things like that). I am talking about a position for NOC in a telecom company. I really appreciate if you can share your experiences. thanks

That depends on who's interviewing you. If it's a super technical engineer, and you are interviewing for an extremely technical position, then he/she might go pretty deep. If it's an HR person, then i dought they are going to ask you any SNMP questions. :)As someone who has been on both sides of the table (and mainly on the hiring side), I really like it when a potential candidate:1) Knows a lot about my company, our products, our customer base, etc.2) Asks questions! YES! But not just the typical "how many vacation days", "sick time", benefits, etc, but thoughtful questions about the position, the company, the company's future plans, etc. If you can ask the people who are interviewing you well thought out questions, that will impress them the most. And the best ones are the ones that relate to what YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED throughout the interview process - not the questions you have "scripted."Be yourself, be personable. Don't keep the conversation on "What can your company DO FOR ME" keep the conversation on "What the company can do for it's customers, the marketplace, etc." and "What can I do for this company?"That'll do the trick. Just don't mess up the technical questions by the engineers, and you'll be fine. Put yourself in their shoes. :)hth,Brad EllisCCIE#5796 (R&S / Security)CCSI# 30482CEO / PresidentCCBOOTCAMP - A Cisco Sponsored Organization (SO)Email: brad@ccbootcamp.comToll Free: 877-654-2243Direct: +1-702-968-5100 = Outside the USAFAX: +1-702-446-8012YES!
