I need to upgrade my IOS to 12.4(11)XW to support my HWIC-1ce1t1-pri card and PVDM2 module. I have a 2811 router that I just bought last December and I was told it was going to have 256MB DRAM and 64MB Flash (which is what is required to run the IOS I need to upgrade to). When I looked at the router though it look like I don't actually have enough.SHOW VERSION:Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-IPBASE-M), Version 12.4(3h), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupportCopyright (c) 1986-2007 by Cisco Systems, Inc.Compiled Wed 25-Jul-07 15:20 by stshenROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(13r)T, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)DaytonGW uptime is 6 days, 4 hours, 53 minutesSystem returned to ROM by reload at 07:30:59 NewYork Sat Mar 8 2008System image file is "flash:c2800nm-ipbase-mz.124-3h.bin"Cisco 2811 (revision 53.51) with 251904K/10240K bytes of memory.Processor board ID FTX1146A0X32 FastEthernet interfaces1 Serial interfaceDRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity enabled.239K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.62720K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)Configuration register is 0x2102SHOW FLASH:-#- --length-- -----date/time------ path1 15678960 Nov 13 2007 01:58:04 -05:00 c2800nm-ipbase-mz.124-3h.bin2 1823 Nov 13 2007 02:06:32 -05:00 sdmconfig-2811.cfg3 6036480 Nov 13 2007 02:07:10 -05:00 sdm.tar4 861696 Nov 13 2007 02:07:26 -05:00 es.tar5 1164288 Nov 13 2007 02:07:46 -05:00 common.tar6 1038 Nov 13 2007 02:08:02 -05:00 home.shtml7 113152 Nov 13 2007 02:08:18 -05:00 home.tar8 1697952 Nov 13 2007 02:08:48 -05:00 securedesktop-ios-220.127.116.11-k9.pkg9 416354 Nov 13 2007 02:09:20 -05:00 sslclient-win-18.104.22.168.pkg38027264 bytes available (25989120 bytes used)Do I actually have enough for the new IOS?
QuintonWhat you have posted does show that the router has 256 MB of memory and 64 MB of flash. I am not clear what the requirements of your new image are. But you currently have 38027264 available in flash and you could free up 15678960 if you delete the existing image. I can not imaging an image for which this would not be enough flash. What is it that makes you think that you may not have enough?HTHRick
